Glenbrook and the Nevada side of Statelineare within Douglas county limits. The County requires property owners to have an active STR permit to rent for less than 28 days. There is a 600 permit cap in the county, as well as VHR to non-VHR percentage limits in specific neighborhoods (click here to search property neighborhood and percentage limit). VHR permits do not transfer with the sale of a home. Previous VHR permit holders are exempt from the cap (as long as they renew annually). Renewal of permit requires proof that the property has been rented out in the last year.
