Tahoe City

Tahoe City: Located on the California side of the North Shore, has one of the largest shopping, dining, and boating centers on the lake. Many restaurants are located on the water with stunning views. Retail shops, like Any Mountain and other outdoor clothing stores, are located on the main strip. A marina, multiple boat dealerships, and repair shops can be found downtown. A large beach is also accessible to the public, with a playground and BBQs. Tahoe City is a 15-minute drive from Palisades Tahoe (previously known as Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows). Being a larger population center, there is a wide variety of homes available. From lakefront mansions to small getaway cabins, Tahoe City has virtually anything for most second-home price ranges.
